Creative Design is a wonderful pattern maker flower. It stamps the patterns on its kids. I have never seen it without a pattern. Creative Design is the accumulation of 8 years of pattern hybridizing to get a broken pattern daylily. The loss of color is in both the petals and sepals. Sometimes more blue in the sepals than the petals. I have seen over 9 different zones of color loss and color change. The flower color is flesh pink with a very green eye zone. The Pattern is broken into blue, orange, charcoal, purple and Maroon. Depending on how the flower pattern is broken sometimes determines the different colors. Thus a variable broken color pattern is created. Because of the triangular form, Creative Design can be used in round and spider hybridizing. If you are hybridizing for dormant patterns, do not miss out on this one. A great flower to cross with the patterned Carpenter introductions.......$200
