Double Explosion

Double Pom Pom was a great daylily produced by late Dr. Miles. He was famous for producing hose in hose doubles. His doubles were very northern hardy with very good rebloom habit. As a result I have converted several of his doubles, including tetra Double Old Ivory. I am in the process of converting several others. The plant habit and scapes of Double Explosion is some of the best which I have seen in Northern doubles. It has 16 -18 segments. Some of the kids can have up to 26. Truly a break through in double hybridizing. Soon, we will have monster spider doubles which look like huge exotic carnations. Double Explosion is a power house of Kirchhoff, Trimmer and Miles hybridizing.
