Heavenly Mellow Yellow

Flowers of Heavenly Mellow Yellow are huge balls of ruffled mellow yellow. They are full double. I do not recall ever seeing a single bloom. We have struggled for years in getting northern hardy doubles which perform as there counter parts in the south. Most of the southern doubles may survive in our zone, but they lack the branching and bud count to make a good garden plant. After converting the dormant Joiner line, (tetra Peggy Bass and Tetra Jean Swann) we were able to move forward. Heavenly Mellow Yellow besides being a great garden plant has become one of our best hybridizing parents for huge northern hardy doubles. I expect Heavenly Mellow Yellow to grow well across all of the regions. In the green house flower size was 7 1/4 inches. These are the first of many to come from Dianna ......$100
