Heavenly White Lightening is my best white unusual form I have introduced to date. I have held stock because of two reasons. First, I wanted a tetraploid HEAVENY WHITE LIGHTENING, I got that this year. Have not seen tetraploid kids yet, but believe it is my key to producing outstanding white spider tetraploids. It was very difficult to convert because it is such a very hard dormant daylily. Second I thought that I should patent it. It is my best daylily yet for sheer garden value. Perfect height to ship to Wal-Mart and Lowe's. Flowers are even perfect at 1:30am in the morning. Because it is an extended bloomer. This is extremely important because many of us work extremely long days and eat late. We have dinner usually at 9:30 PM in the summer months and work to dark. Would it not be great to see a 10.5 inch white daylily looking perfect at 10 pm while planted in front of the restaurant in which you are eating? And better yet it bud builds to frost. I decided not to patent it, thus I am releasing it. I realize I am going to lose a lot of money, but it is not always about the money. Someone else some day will mass produce it. This cultivator is just too good not to mass produce. It is the perfect flower to cross with Carpenter's and Jim Murphy's huge white lines. Wonder how much those seeds would bring on the daylily auction? A fabulous parent.......$200
