Red Hot Lover, what can I say. The name says it all. An extremely intense fire engine red flower with a very green throat.

Flowers are very sunfast. It has a slightly reder eyezone. A very interesting daylily with 3 different conversions in pedigree, tetra Spellfire, tetra Christmas is and tetra W-29. John Benz wrote in his description that "Tet. W-29 is an extremely wide, 7" clear red from (When I Dream X Whatley's “J-29”: a huge 8" red from HOMEWARD BOUND), and is much like a bigger wider petaled BIG APPLE." John Benz converted the W-29 seedling , which was a diploid to the tetraploid form. Red Hot Lover is very pod fertile, pollen is super easy also. Because of the pattern breeding of tetra spell fire and extremely green throat from Tetra Christmas is, Red Hot Lover is a great parent for pattern and intense red hybridizing. Many of its offspring are patterned. Of course I have crossed them with Supernatural, Heavenly Breakthough, Underdog, Pattern Master and converted Carpenter introductions. Patterned reds are extremely rare.......$100
