Sky Dragon

Sky Dragon is one great red daylily. It is a much taller HEAVENLY FIRE ARROW. The fire engine red flowers are 8 inches in diameter. The eyezone is a much darker shade of red with a green throat. It is my tallest red daylily, 6 inches taller than SKY KING. In a clump, Sky Dragon is stunning, the height of scapes stagger, with middle ones being taller and outside ones shorter. Such allows the blooms not to be crowded . This is a rare trait in daylilies, but makes for a tremendous garden plant. It can be seen from a long distance. This is what growing daylilies is all about, color that can been seen from the curve. When planted in a landscape setting , like next to or in front of tall grasses, fences and etc, the landscape appeal is phenomenal. For even greater shock, plant One Above you in the middle and Sky King and Sky Dragon on either side. Another tall one, Reach for the Heavens would also be a great choice.
